A useful fit for

A narrow bullet maker with simple controls and confirmed rinse mode.

The main tradeoff

No frozen storage; the generic AI-100 family description does not supply size controls or its larger daily rating.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can I choose bullet ice, a rinse cycle and a body no wider than eight inches?

Yes. The exact manual specifies 7.3-inch width and the Start/Stop rinse routine.

Can collected ice remain frozen inside as storage?

No. The exact instructions say unused ice melts back into the reservoir.

Does the family page establish 28 pounds per day for this exact model?

No. The exact AI-110SS manual identifies a 26-pound configuration, separate from the generic older family rating.

The AI-110SS is a compact 26-pound-per-day bullet-ice configuration with a single start control and a rinse mode. It appears within Newair's broader countertop bullet family, but its exact manual describes a much smaller body than the older AI-100SS. Check the full model code rather than transfer the family's larger dimensions or three-size controls.

A materially different stainless configuration

The current official catalog identifies AI-110SS as the “Stainless Steel 26lbs” variant. Its exact manual specifies a body approximately 7.3 inches wide, 10.8 deep and 11.9 high, with a 13-pound net weight. Those figures make it a relevant candidate for someone seeking a narrow bullet maker, provided the operating clearances also fit.

The generic family page describes a larger 28-pound machine with three ice sizes and dimensions associated with older versions. Those statements should not overwrite the exact AI-110SS instructions. The AI-100SS remains a separate configuration with its own controls and measurements. A stainless finish is not enough to establish which machine a listing supplies.

One control, including a real rinse mode

The AI-110SS manual shows a start/stop button with Power, Ice Full and Add Water indicators. It does not describe the three-size selection routine from the generic family overview. The same button can be held for at least three seconds to enter rinsing mode. Water then circulates from the reservoir to the evaporator and back through five cycles.

That rinse mode is a useful distinction for someone who wants a confirmed cleaning-related function in a small bullet maker. It does not replace cleaning the liner, basket, tank and scoop. Follow the exact care instructions, rinse thoroughly and drain the appliance before leaving it unused. Do not assume the family page's older control diagram describes this model.

Daily production is not a ready basket

The exact manual cover identifies a 26-pound countertop bullet maker. An exact daily test pair of room and water temperatures is not provided with that rating. It is a maker's production claim, not a guaranteed result in every kitchen. Keep it separate from the unknown collection-basket weight, which should not be inferred from the daily number.

Open the lid, remove the basket and fill the reservoir to the MAX marking as instructed. Overfilling can leave ice partly submerged and cause it to melt faster. When the basket is full, remove ice for use or transfer. A small machine still needs someone to replenish water and clear the collection area during sustained production.

It makes bullets and lets unused ice melt

The shape is bullet ice, not the soft pellets of a nugget machine or the clearer cubes of a cascading-water design. Choose it when those rounded hollow pieces suit the drinks you serve. Someone wanting nugget texture can compare the NIM030SSNC; someone wanting clear cubes can compare the ClearIce40.

The manual explicitly says unused ice melts back into the reservoir. The basket therefore does not provide frozen storage. If a stock of ice must stay frozen until later, transfer it appropriately instead of leaving it in the machine and relying on insulation. The Ice Full indicator is a production control, not evidence of a freezer compartment.

Measure the space around the compact body

The setup instructions require at least six inches at the back and sides for ventilation. That can make the real operating area substantially larger than the 7.3-inch body width. Allow room to open the lid and remove the basket too. A narrow gap that physically accepts the appliance may still be an unsuitable working location.

The exact instructions specify indoor use, a level surface away from heat and a settling period before initial operation. The listed electrical rating is 110–120 volts, 60 Hz and 120 watts. Use the supplied instructions for transport and setup rather than treat the small body as permission to operate it in any outdoor or enclosed position.

The useful choice

Choose AI-110SS for its exact small body, simple controls, bullet ice and confirmed rinse mode. Compare the NIM026MS00 as another compact bullet configuration, checking its actual dimensions and care separately. Choose the older AI-100SS only for its own documented routine. Exact model identity is especially valuable when several stainless options share one product page.
