A useful fit for

A drinks counter where front ice access and a removable water tank are useful and daily water-path care is practical.

The main tradeoff

The collection basket is not frozen storage; both support downloads identify IM017-N and do not establish every IM-16S operating detail.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can manually filled nugget production meet a forty-pound daily headline with at least a1.8-liter reservoir?

Yes as a qualified manufacturer claim: the current model lists44lb/day and1.8L of water, without exact matched test temperatures.

Can I require a front pull-out refill tank and a cleaning program together?

Yes. The exact product gallery shows its pull-out water tank and the current page identifies a twenty-minute cleaning cycle.

Does the blue collection bin meet a frozen-storage requirement?

No. The model-specific support record describes melting and no preservation function. Illumination is not refrigeration.

The Euhomy Pearl L1 Plus IM-16S combines nugget ice with a front collection door, a pull-out water tank and a larger daily production claim than the base L1. It is most useful where those access arrangements fit a regular refill-and-serve routine. Its blue-lit bin remains a collection area, so plan separately for ice that must stay frozen.

Front access changes the daily routine

The Plus's official pictures show a front-opening ice compartment and a separate water tank that pulls out for filling. This matters more than the family name if overhead cupboards make it inconvenient to lift a large top lid every time you collect ice. Check the space in front as well as the body footprint: an appliance that fits on the counter still needs room to open, remove parts and carry a tank to the sink.

The current specification gives a 1.8-liter water reservoir, compared with 1.1 liters on the Pearl L1. More reservoir water can make the refill routine more convenient, but it is not a promise of a particular unattended running time. Production rate, full-bin stops, water changes and how much ice you remove affect that interval.

The product page says a direct water line is not required. Treat it as a machine you can manually refill without a plumbing installation. That wording alone does not establish an optional continuous water-line connection. If eliminating hand filling is essential, ask for explicit compatible hardware and instructions rather than assuming that a removable tank can be connected to a pipe.

Read the production claim in context

Euhomy currently advertises up to forty-four pounds per twenty-four hours. No exact room-and-inlet-water test pair accompanies that figure in the current product table. It is a qualified production claim, not a measured result for a warm kitchen or the amount available at one moment. Repeatedly taking out ice and adding water are part of sustaining a long production session.

The main page currently says first ice in seven to ten minutes, while one of its gallery graphics uses fifteen minutes. Allow for that variation when planning an initial drink. Neither statement is a full-basket timing guarantee, and a compressor that has just started, warm water or changed room conditions can affect the beginning of a session.

The ice is nugget-shaped. If your concern is small pieces in everyday drinks, the Plus belongs on the comparison list. If you want large clear spheres or two-inch squares, compare a machine that actually makes those shapes. A higher pound-per-day headline cannot compensate for a mismatch in the ice itself.

Two ways of describing the collection basket

The current table lists the basket volume as one liter. A separate exact-product gallery panel describes two pounds of ice and labels the 1.8-liter water tank. These are manufacturer descriptions of different measurements; a liter is not a pound, and loose ice does not have the density of solid water. Use the stated two-pound claim as a nominal collection figure, not as a conversion from the table's liter figure.

The model-specific support FAQ says the machine does not provide insulated preservation and that meltwater circulates back to make ice again. The illuminated interior is not evidence of frozen storage. Collect ice for drinks or move it to appropriate separate frozen storage when keeping a supply for later.

This is a practical limitation for parties. Forty-four pounds spread across a day can sound substantial, while only a small collection basket is ready when several people serve themselves together. Work backward from the busiest serving period, not simply the total for a whole day.

Budget for daily water-path care

The Plus page documents a twenty-minute cleaning program. Its exact model support entry recommends running cleaning daily and replacing reservoir water every twenty-four hours. It also describes monthly deeper cleaning with a nickel-safe ice-machine cleaner followed by two fresh-water cleaning cycles. Read the cleaner's directions and the matching supplied instructions before choosing a dilution or leaving solution in the machine.

The support entry describes both a main and a secondary reservoir and recommends filling each to its marked maximum as instructed. A top-up in the most visible tank may not address every part of the water path. Likewise, circulating a cleaning solution is only one part of looking after removable parts, deposits and the drain outlet.

There is an unresolved instruction-book mismatch worth checking before purchase. Both downloads linked under IM-16S on the support page identify IM017-N and its different SKU inside. They cannot establish every button sequence or technical specification for a delivered IM-16S. Obtain the exact matching manual from the seller or Euhomy. The current Plus page and model-specific support text still establish the refill arrangement, stated capacities and cleaning commitment, but the mislabeled downloads should not settle an uncertain operating detail.

Choose for access and regular service

The published body dimensions are approximately 9.6 by 13.4 by 14.8 inches without a clear axis assignment in the text table. Confirm width, depth and height, plus door travel, tank removal and required ventilation before committing to a tight space. Keep the machine away from nearby heat sources and allow access to empty it for cleaning or storage.

Choose the Plus if its front ice access, pull-out tank and 1.8-liter reservoir improve a routine where someone attends the machine. Compare the L1 Pro when documented app controls matter, or the L1 Max when its top-access format and explicit manual-only refill instructions suit the space better. The Plus needs a different solution if you require frozen retention or a fully documented automatic water-line installation.
